A Stone Age Boy themed sentence builder linked to Colourful Semantics. It includes 4 frames that allow children to independently build and improve sentences based on images. This could be used alongside the topic of the Stone Age to help support lower attaining/SEN children.
A worksheet that allows children to create a sentence and change the verb to match different tenses. Colourful semtantics are included to reinforce the sentence structures as well as reminders that the verb must change with each different tense. There are also Widgit symbols to support with reading. I hope that it is useful for teachers!
A worksheet where the child can use the Widgit images to help them differentiated between different homophones. There are 3 different pages, each with 6 sets of homophones. The visual element will support the children in recalling the vocabulary. Any feedback would be appreciated!
There are a variety of different sentence structures to help develop children’s writing. It starts with building a sentence using the colour and then going on to writing the sentence with the ‘little words’ added in. These can be used to help Key Stage 2 use colourful semantics in a way that will help develop their writing and create more detailed sentences independently. They could be used with a picture stimulus or the child’s own ideas.
